This Lightning Protection Systems website is owned and operated by SunpowerByCriste LLC, a Professional Division member of the Lightning Protection Institute (LPI).  LPI is dedicated to ensuring that today’s lightning protection systems maintain the best possible quality in design, materials and installation. 

This website is published with this same goal in mind. 

Lightning Protection Systems are often misunderstood and there are many well intended, but often incorrect, claims about lightning and its risk. This site is intended to help in promoting awareness about lightning and advance the installation of lightning protection systems, lightning rods and the use of power surge protector devices in The Villages Community and surrounding area.

SunpowerByCriste LLC is proud to be a Certified Designer and Inspector (DI) of lightning protection systems. Designer Inspector (DI) credentials are conferred only after a series of examinations that demonstrate a high level of proficiency in lightning protection. A thorough knowledge of NFPA-780 and LPI-175, including formulas, material sizes and design parameters, and the ability to apply requirements/standards to all types of structures are mandatory to receive 

Designer Inspector (DI) Certification.
